Blox Loot

Blox Loot Tank Build

The tank build sacrifices speed and damage for maximum defense. You face-tank boss attacks, hold aggro for your group, and survive hits that would one-shot damage builds. Standard tank gear is Knight armor, T3+ shield, and Unbreakable enchant.

Boss Role

Zombie King: face-tank his slams with shield block. Keep aggro so DPS players can attack freely. Spider Queen: tank the leap slams and hold adds while DPS burns the boss. Your job is survival, not damage.

Bring health sustain if available. Long fights test your durability.

Group Dynamics

One tank per boss group is standard. Two tanks is redundant unless learning mechanics. Communicate aggro swaps if your health drops below 30%.

Durability and Repair Management

Long boss fights degrade gear without Unbreakable enchant. Tank builds feel this first because they absorb the most hits. Apply Unbreakable to chest armor and shield before any other piece. Zombie King fights are the testing ground — if your defense drops mid-fight, you need Unbreakable or better gear.

Carry 2,000+ gold for emergency repairs during multi-attempt Spider Queen sessions. Returning to the blacksmith between wipes costs time but prevents entering a fight with weakened stats.

When Tank Builds Shine

Tank builds are mandatory for organized groups lacking coordination — someone must hold boss aggro while others DPS freely. They also carry underleveled friends through Zombie King when a higher-level player tanks and lower-level players contribute chip damage for loot qualification.

Outside boss arenas, tank builds underperform. Do not wear full Knight with shield in the forest unless you enjoy being kited by Bone Bow users who understand weight mechanics better than you.

Tank Positioning

Face bosses away from the group so slam and leap AoE hit only you. Call add phases loudly so DPS does not get overwhelmed while you hold boss aggro.

In PvP, tanks are bait — never chase speed builds. Tank value is entirely PvE boss content.

Knight Set Progression

T2 Knight from forest elites handles early tank experiments. T3 from Zombie King is standard. T4 from Spider Queen optional for min-max.

Unbreakable on chest and shield before legs or helm — those slots absorb most boss damage.

Never open forest map wearing full Knight without Weightless — gankers will farm you.

Tank Sustain Planning

Bring enough effective HP for ten-minute Spider Queen attempts. Knight T3 plus shield plus Unbreakable is the baseline.

Communicate health thresholds to your group — swap aggro before catastrophic wipes.

Spider Queen Tank Notes

Hold boss facing away from group during web phases. Block leap slams when shield cooldown ready.

Add phases are DPS responsibility — call for help if spiderlings reach the tank.

Swap to damage gear only after the group disbands post-kill.

Zombie King entry boss for tank practice. Spider Queen requires experienced tank with T3+ shield.

Coordinate with your group healer or support players if available — solo tanking Spider Queen enrage is among the hardest roles in Blox Loot.
