Blox Loot Zombie King Boss
The Zombie King is Blox Loot's first world boss — a hulking undead enemy in a forest cave arena. He is the gateway to T3 gear, teaching boss mechanics before the harder Spider Queen fight. Most players first kill him between levels 25 and 35 with a group.
Location and Access
The Zombie King arena is accessible from mid-to-deep forest via a marked cave entrance. See the Boss Areas map page for the route from spawn zone. No level requirement to enter, but level 25+ with T2–T3 gear is strongly recommended.
He spawns on a server timer, approximately every 20–40 minutes. Wait at the arena or check Discord for spawn callouts.
Mechanics
Slam Attack: overhead strike with red ground indicator. Move out of the circle. Slow but high damage — will one-shot underleveled players. Summon: calls weak zombie adds at 50% health. Kill adds quickly or they overwhelm the group. Enrage: at 15% health, attack speed increases slightly.
The Zombie King is a tutorial boss. His patterns are slow and telegraphed. Use this fight to practice dodge timing for Spider Queen.
Recommended Setup
Group of 3–5: one tank (Knight armor + shield + Unbreakable), two DPS (Iron Sword or Knight Sword), one flex. Solo: possible at level 35+ with Knight Sword and Slime armor if you know patterns.
Loot Drops
T3 Knight armor pieces, Knight Sword, gold bundles, Unbreakable enchant scrolls. Drop rates are reasonable — expect T3 gear within 2–5 kills. First kill may have bonus drops.
Knight drops from Zombie King are the fastest path to T3 for mid-game players.
Strategy Tips
- Tank faces the boss away from the group
- DPS attacks from behind to avoid slam AoE
- Clear adds immediately at 50% phase
- Save burst damage for enrage phase
- Do not stand in the red slam indicator
- Retreat to safe zone if group wipes
Phase-by-Phase Breakdown
Phase one (100–50% health): the Zombie King uses only his slam attack on a slow cooldown. DPS players should position behind the boss while the tank holds aggro facing away from the group. Dodge the red ground circle — it is telegraphed two seconds before impact and covers a wide radius.
Phase two (50–15% health): he summons zombie adds that deal chip damage but stack quickly if ignored. Assign one player to add clear while others continue boss DPS. Phase three (enrage below 15%): attack speed increases modestly. Save your highest burst damage for this window and keep the tank above critical health with blocks.
Drop Rate Expectations
Most players receive T3 Knight armor or Knight Sword within two to five kills. Unbreakable enchant scrolls drop at lower rates but appear often enough to justify repeated runs before Spider Queen. Gold bundles help fund T3→T4 merge fees at the blacksmith.
If RNG fails after ten kills, continue merging T2 duplicates while running Zombie King on cooldown. The boss is never a dead end — even bad luck still grants gold and occasional duplicates for the merge path documented in the Blacksmith Guide.
First Kill Expectations
First-time groups should expect one wipe learning slam timing. Second attempt usually succeeds with the same team. Solo players need level 35+ and T3 gear minimum.
Knight drops accelerate mid game more than any single forest session — prioritize weekly Zombie King cooldowns.
